Talent call-out for Deaf and hearing kids for online show ‘Kids of Kōrero Lane’

Talent callout

Awesome opportunity for Deaf and hearing kids for online show,  ‘Kids of Kōrero Lane’

The Kids of Kōrero Lane is a filmed series that will take NZSL into the playground and allow Deaf kids to take the lead. This fun series will encourage all kids to embrace New Zealand Sign Language! There are 8 episodes, each 2 minutes long filmed by Attitude Pictures and it will go on HeiHei, the childrens' digital channel (TVNZ).  This is a paid opportunity, with daily rates for the actors.

Who are we looking for?

We want children who love the camera! It will be great if they can sign a bit.

We need two Deaf children who:

Are ideally 10 or older but can look younger (6-9 years is good).

We’ll consider younger too, (6-9 years) if they are confident.

      Know basic NZSL.

We need two hearing children:

Are older than 10 but can look younger (6-9 years is good).

We’ll consider younger too, (6-9 years) if they are confident.

Their characters will learn to sign in the shows. But if they can sign already, that would be great!
